In Africa, children and vulnerable adults live in danger of Malaria, a preventable disease. In 2009, the ELCA decided to change that by raising funds to support Malaria treatment and prevention. Since then, the ELCA Malaria Campaign has raised $13.5 million toward its goal of $15 million by 2016. This year, once again, Mt. Horeb will join the fight against Malaria by buying mosquito nets for families threatened by Malaria. These mosquito nets are a life-saving blessing to mothers in Africa who fear for their children. Honor a mother by donating $10 toward this effort. Corsages will be on sale for this cause on Sunday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 10th, Mother’s Day. Thank you for your support as we work together to be God’s hands and feet in the world!
