Jacob’s Well Women’s Ensemble has its first rehearsal Sunday, October 2nd beginning at 2:15 PM. Two new anthems will be learned and presented as a musical offering. The anthems are, “Down by the Riverside” and “The Prayer.” Both anthems are in three part harmony. A minimum of three voices are needed for each part, soprano 1; soprano 2 and alto. Jacob’s Well welcomes new and returning ladies who are 12 years old and up. If you are female and enjoy singing in a “Women’s Only” choir, then Jacob’s Well is for you. If you are interested in The Jacob’s Well Women’s Vocal Ensemble, contact Susan Ritchey so she can reserve a copy of each anthem for you!
Bass Clef Chorale performed during Revival, September 18th and Lutheran Men’s Sunday, September 25th. The men and I welcome new members anytime, but specially need some tenors for we have “promoted” one of our former members on to college and one of our former singers, Bob, has gone on to glory. Both are tenors, therefore, the reason for more tenors. After a couple of weeks of break, rehearsals will resume to learn some new music.
Hand Bells rehearse Sunday afternoons beginning at 4:00 in the Hand Bell room, adjacent to the choir room. Jim Lindler leads these “ringers.” Jim has lots of experience and is a wonderful and patient teacher for the ones who feel they need alittle assistance. Playing hand bells becomes easier week by week. Hand bells are fun to play as well as a wonderful way to enjoy the company of other fun-loving people who enjoy playing music.
