Since 2015, the SC Synod has made partnering with public schools one of it’s main Community Engagement priorities. A resolution passed at the Synod Assembly encourages all congregations to find ways to partner with public education, through projects like the Snack Packs program and School Mentors.
In response, we pray that members of our congregation will consider becoming School Mentors to children in our area elementary or middle schools. All that is required is a firm commitment of 1 hour per week. Please consider reaching out to a child in need by becoming a mentor, and feel free to contact Pam Shear with questions.
