Pastor Ginger is serving in her first call to ordained ministry at Mt. Horeb, with a special emphasis on Children’s, Youth and Young Adult Ministry. She believes that Christ calls all disciples to actively participate in God’s saving work through Faith Formation and humble service. She is originally from Charleston, SC, but spent her seminary years in Columbia, studying at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary.
After graduating from Porter-Gaud School in Charleston, Ginger went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia. While art and design are still a passion of hers, after college, she felt God calling her pursue to public ministry. Ginger first felt a call to ministry when she served as a counselor at Camp Lutheridge, working with children and youth.
Ginger and her husband Kris live in Columbia. Kris is also an ordained minister, and serves as the Associate Pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran in Forest Acres. Although they serve different congregations, they enjoy working on synodical ministries together, such as the GraceWorks youth service week.
